I love lists. If you’ve ever seen the movie the Pillow Book – you should if you haven’t yet – you will know how beautiful lists can be. One day, perhaps, I will write my own Pillow Book, but for today I’ve decided to start by listing influences, authors who have had a large impact on me. I’ve limited myself to writers of relatively modern fiction (after about 1950) and this list is by no means exhaustive and is in no particular order.

- Sheri Tepper
- Anne Rice
- Neil Gaiman
- Neal Stephenson

Perhaps at some later date, I will add links to this lists, but for now I will leave it as is.
